Here is a picture of Morgan and her lion backpack before going to school on Friday--also useful for graduate school.
Melissa and I went to our first PSU football game last Saturday. We got the full effect of being in the student section--we were standing the entire game, there were a lot of snuck-in flasks, and one girl next to Melissa was passed out the entire game. I would have posted a picture but you can't capture it all in one picture.
When this school year started we told Morgan that she would be one of the older kids in her class and that she should be a big helper for her teacher; I guess she got a little carried away on Friday. Instead of picking up toys with her classmates during clean-up time, she put herself in charge of making sure everyone else was cleaning up. Afterwards her teacher asked each child what he or she cleaned up, but when she got to Morgan, Morgan was too afraid to say that she didn't clean up anything so she lied and said she cleaned up the playdough area. I guess Morgan was feeling pretty guilty when she got home and confessed to Melissa, who decided to call her teacher to apologize. When her teacher answered the phone, Melissa said Morgan needed to say something and handed the phone to her, and the tears came. Morgan couldn't mutter a word and just sobbed. Of course Melissa was heart broken now so she took the phone and explained everything to her teacher--who of course didn't care and thought it to be the cutest thing for Morgan to be so sorry.
