Mikayla told Adam she grabbed a bowl and threw up in it. When Adam asked her where the bowl was she told him on the counter. She showed him where it was and sure enough she had filled a kids bowl to the brim with throw up and then slowly put it on the counter. Throughout the day she would throw up in the toilet. The next morning she told me she threw up in her bowl in her bed and put it on her book shelve so it wouldn't spill. I went and checked and there it was a bowl full of throw up on her book shelve. That girl is something.

Be A Robot

Mikayla took a shower this morning--yes, she is three and we taught her to shower herself because one can only tolerate so much yelling Sunday morning. Anyway, she had a shower this morning and said:

"I'm so tired of my skin...I just want to take it off!"

And Melissa said "You can't take it off because it protects your bones and your muscles."

So Kayla replied "And if I take of my skin I will be a robot!"

The Clothes We Wear...

Do you remember back in the early '80's when we wore clothes that had big collars and ruffles down the front? Well, I was cleaning out some junk the other day and Mikayla found pictures of me when I was little. I am playing on my aunt Karen's front porch with our Playmobile toys, and this is what she says to me. "Mom! Why am I wearing that shirt? Other girls might like it, but I don't." When I was trying to tell her it was not her she replied, "Yeah see the straight hair?" Trying not to laugh she then said, "I don't EVER want to wear that shirt again."

There was no convincing her that those pictures were of me, she KNOWS they are of her. I will try and post the picture when I am not being so lazy.

As for Morgan we are working on her birthday, soccer, violin, and a baptism.

Things they say....

Kids sure say the funniest things at times. Here are just a few examples of what Mikayla has been saying to make us laugh.

"If Morgan is scared of monsters, she needs to tell Jesus and he will help her."

"Please can I have more ovals (olives)?"

"Do I need my glubs (gloves) on?"

"Can I have some smashmallows? (marshmallows)

Mikayla offered the missionaries some "Mike & Ike's" and when they say yes she bring out a can of cashews.

Every night Mikayla asks if we can have "burnt chicken" meaning candied chicken that she loves.

One day I said to Morgan, "Morgan, Kyree and Mckenna really love you." Mikayla turns to me and says, "You mean us!"

"Mom, did you know that Jesus can fix people's bleeding eyes? He just puts tape on them!"

Signing mouse I asked her what that sign was and she said with a straight face, "Burger!"

Mikayla and Morgan have been so generous and cleaning out their toys and clothes they don't wear anymore and giving them to the neighbors. Mikayla wanted to give some toys to a little boy down the street all by herself. After she came back to the car I asked her if she felt happy inside by serving other, "No! I do not feel happy at all, he was naked!"

Mikaylas teacher at preschool was asking her how she spelled her name and trying to look on her name tag, but with a straight face Mikayla said to her, "BEIDEI!" Her teacher tried so hard not to laugh, she said is was hilarious. If you ask Mikayla how to spell things, she often says, "DEI" but tonight at dinner it was, "BO!"

Morgan has been pulling out her loose teeth on her own, doing amazing in school, helping others constantly, taking violin lessons, and skiing every chance she gets.

"I wish.."

The other day sweet Morgan bought Mikayla and I gifts at the store with her money. So today while Kayla and I were at the store Mikayla asked for a barbie. I told her I wish I could but I didn't have $19.00 to buy her a barbie, so what does she say, "I wish Morgan had $19.00 to buy me a barbie!". She is something!!

Family Scripture Study

Our primary has challenged the families in our ward to read the Book of Mormon together. Last night while reading in 1 Nephi, Mikayla asked if she could have a turn and do it all by herself, after Adam, Morgan, and I read Mikayla read and this is what she said, "And it came to pass that I Nephi met the Nephi's." No joke, we all just starred and smiled it was so cute!!

Remote

While enjoying a family night out watching Megaminds Mikayla turns to me in the theatre and says, "Mom, do you have the remote so you can pause this?" After the movie Morgan was telling Adam how much she liked it and Adam told her she liked a boy show!!!!

Gluten Free Eggnog

Mikayla's Aunt Carrie helped her get a glass of eggnog. After she finished her eggnog Mikayla went to the fridge to get some water. Aunt Carrie asked her if she would like a new glass to drink her water, but Mikayla assured her that it would be ok and continued to add some water. Mikayla then took a drink of her diluted eggnog and said:
"Oh gross, it's gluten free!"
