Bookstore

Since we have been at BYUI there has been a lot of questions about Adam's age: students stare at his picture on his schedule next to his door, they ask me how old he is, and his students nag him to tell them his age. But today was the best. We went to the bookstore on campus with Adam to get supplies for his classes. When he was checking out he handed the cashier a piece of paper and said "Can you just charge it to this account?" She told him she couldn't do that without authorization but if he could tell her his supervisors name she could call and verify. Of course Adam didn't say that he was a faculty member and only told her to call the department secretary. After the secretary gave her confirmation she continued to charge the account but put it in the secretary's name. Adam then looked over the counter and said "Is my name on the account too?" and she said "Only full time employees have accounts." Adam then said that he should be on it and she just looked at him and said "Oh, are you not a student?" She seemed a little embarassed and apologized but Adam just said "Don't worry, my wife is really enjoying this." It was just one of those classic moments of knowing that my husband is so hot and young looking!

Morgan has always wanted to live by cousins so she can play with them, well we were so lucky to have some cousins come up last weekend! Thanks so much you guys, it was so fun!

Morgan is starting to get really interested in music and asked me the other day if she could make a living by singing. Today, we were listening to Signing Time in the car when she told me to pay attention to a certain part in the song and said "See how she takes a breath right there? She does that so she can keep singing the next verse." She amazes me all the time!

Another fun story, Morgan was spotlighted in primary a couple weeks ago. This is where the primary leader has all the children stand up, then reads clues about the person while the children sit down if the clue doesn't fit them. In the end the only person standing should be the spotlighted child. When I asked her about it she told me, "They told everyone to stand up, they started to read the clues, and then said this is a boy, but after awhile all the boys sat down because the answers didn't fit any of them. Then they said 'Is Morgan Dean here?'" So funny-

That's funny that they assumed Adam was a student! Mike's brother works there too (full-time) and has run into the same problem. At first people in their ward assumed they were just students and were surprised to learn they were "real" people. Maybe Adam should wear a sign. . .;)

That is funny about Adam. Matt told me when he first met him he couldn't believe how old he was. He came home when you had Morgan and said, "This guy at my work that can't be more than 18 just had a baby". Pretty funny!!
They do a spotlight in our ward too. Kaylynn was the spotlight but she sat down after the first thing they said. Good times.
Kaylynn loves to sing too. We listen to signing time all the time.

I love it! I'm sure that Adam will just have to get used to it. Maybe you'll have to get some t-shirts made identifying you as faculty, or always have your driver's license handy to verify your age.
Morgan, as usual is really such a smart little girl. And, yes she is obviously a girl.

Pretty funny comments about the bookstore. He may not appreciate it now, but give him another 10 years, he will really appreciate it. I too have been mistaken as one of the youth at a stake mutual activity. I actually loved it. But I guess you really only love it when you feel to old for a comliment like that. Ha ha.

What a cutie Morgan is!
