Happy Fathers Day! We love you Dads and Grandpas.
Of course today Morgan got to sing with the primary to all the fathers. Morgan sang very well, especially considering the distraction of a little sister, standing on the third row, waving and yelling "Hiiiii." Mikayla would not stop waving until Morgan would wave back.
Speaking of waving, to celebrate Father's Day, the girls took me out to dinner on Friday. At the restaurant Mikayla spotted a little boy about 10 feet away who was also sitting in a high chair. Mikayla waved and said "Hiii" but the boy was uninterested and looked away. Mikayla became upset and, with her pouty lip, started crying while signing "nice." After a few more attempts, the little boy continued to snub Mikayla, and the pouting and signing continued. Apparently, like her Mommy, she gets pretty distraught when someone is not pleased with her.
Mikayla's new favorite song is "Great DJ" by the Ting Tings. Her favorite part is the "Ah Ah Ah Ah..." part at about 1:02 in the song. Whenever she wants to listen to the song in the car she just starts to sing "Ah Ah Ah..." while signing "more." A few nights ago in the mall the song came on the overhead and of course Mikayla graced everyone in the mall with her beautiful imitation of "Ah Ah Ah..."
Morgan has been as silly as always. A few days ago Morgan came to me to show me her muscles. She would pull up her sleeves and flex with all her might to show off her nearly visible muscle and said "It's not little mountain yet." But I taught her how to flex and kiss her bicep. She then taught Melissa and said "You have to make a fist and grit your teeth like this..."
Melissa, aunt Heather, and the girls went to the local zoo this week. The girls had fun watching the monkeys through the glass until the dominant male suddenly charged the girls and body slammed the glass. It freaked the girls out a lot but Mommy and Heather had a good laugh. The monkey apparently wouldn't stop hitting the glass. A tour guide then saw what was happening and explained that the monkey was hitting the glass because their blond hair made him think they were female monkeys. Apparently our girls make a good looking set of monkeys.

Happy Father's Day
A female monkey at the zoo.
Playing at the sand dunes. Sadly it was difficult to find a place not overcrowded with dirt bikes.
Crazy Kayla.
Friends on the teeter totter. Thanks Rob and Cindy for bringing it up.
Who doesn't enjoy a bath and a good book.
The grass is starting to look normal, and Melissa is proud of her flowers.

HURRAY for a post and pictures of the girls! The teeter totter looks like so much fun and your grass and flowers look AMAZING! That being said, the people that moved into your house here are moving out at the end of the month if you want to come back!! Pretty please?! Miss you guys!
The lawn is looking so good you guys! And the girls are, as usual, so cute and entertaining. We might be in Rexburg on the 3rd of July and we would love to see you. Will you email me your address and phone number again and if we make it up we would love to see you if you're around!
Thanks so much for the update! I adore your sweet family. Happy Father's Day Adam! You're an exceptional father, husband, and in-law. ;)
I have to let you know how much I love the picture of Morgan on the teeter-totter with her friends. She'll love it for years to come. And Mikayla - it appears we both enjoy reading in the tub. Love to you all -
Cindy (and Rob)
Oh, I love your house, SO pretty especially with the red flowers!!! We miss you guys like crazy! And that is the saddest story ever about Mikayla getting snubbed by that rotten boy, poor girl!!!!
Your girls are full of such cute little personalities! They are so cute! I forgot about the sand dunes how fun to have them so close!
your lswn is looking beautiful!!!!
It looks like you guys are always having fun! Your lawn is recovering nicely. If you guys come to Utah we will have to get together. Even if it's just for a while.
You have got to be my most favorite people ever. You make life so much fun. I love your house and I would kill for a grass yard like that (instead of the rock landscape we have) I want to see a picture of Melissa's homemade sandbox :) Thanks Mel for meeting up with me and calling me all the time. You are the best! Enjoy your summer and your time off.
NEED. NEW. POST. GOING. THROUGH. WITHDRAWAL. :)
